Deployable Structure

A study in hinged modular assembly exploring how repetitive units fold into a dense, deployable spatial envelope.

Description

Deployable Structure investigates how a field of repeated hinge-connected units can aggregate into a larger spatial system. The work focuses on the relationship between local joint logic and global form—how identical components, when linked, produce curvature, porosity, and structural redundancy without a single fixed center. The model studies assembly as a design driver: each connection allows rotation and reconfiguration, suggesting a structure that can expand, contract, or adapt to different site conditions. Rendered as a dense white lattice against a void background, the project emphasizes the clarity of the modular system and the spatial volume it generates when fully deployed.
